3. Provide a safe haven for natural bees such as bumblebees, who do not live in hives and are solitary creatures. Provide a bee hotel in a calm, undisturbed location for them to use as a hive for constructing a colony. You may purchase these online, or you can make your own!
The beehive in this picture is a needle felted creation that I constructed only a few days ago. Due to the fact that I have just recently begun needle felting, this is extremely basic and unfinished, but I still enjoy it.
As a bee enthusiast who enjoys all things bee-related, I hope to create many more bees in the future. Although this needle felt beehive is small, my goal is to make some life-sized bees to wear as brooches and to place around my home as decorative accents.
If you want to create your own needle-felt Honey Bee hive and bees you can make things easier for yourself with a needle felt beehive crafting kit.
You can make this honey bee hive as seen left with a felt kit via Amazon. The kits contain everything you need to create the beehive in the image including the wool, the needle felt tools and instructions.
TIP: if you are making a large item with felt, rather than use all your best felt wool for the structure you can use a cheaper version (as seen here) as the base and then felt your best wool to the top!

3 ways you can help rescue bees
Bees pollinate one-third of the food that we consume; without them, we would be extinct. You may contribute to the cause by taking these three simple actions.
1. Create a Bee Garden using plants that are beneficial to bees.
2. Fill a small dish halfway with clean water and set it aside as a Bee drinking bath. Make a swarming area with pebbles and stones for the bees to land on and drink from.
